Bill Firing is a Partner at Stanton Chase, based in Denver and serving clients across the U.S. and internationally. He specializes in executive search for high-growth companies in the technology, professional services, and medtech sectors—bringing a unique operator’s lens to every engagement.
With over a decade of experience in retained executive search and more than 20 years in senior leadership roles at global marketing and technology services firms, Bill has become a trusted advisor to founders, investors, boards, and the C-Suite seeking transformative leadership.
This operational background uniquely positions Bill to work across the full leadership suite of his clients, supporting CEO, GTM, CFO, product, technology, and people leadership searches with credibility and insight. Whether the need is for a growth-minded CRO, a product-led CTO, or a transformative Chief People Officer, he understands how each function drives enterprise value and how to identify and assess talent that aligns with both stage and strategy.
Before joining Stanton Chase, he was VP, Executive Search at a national recruiting firm, where he led C-level searches for investor-backed companies preparing for growth milestones, including IPOs, M&A, and international expansion.
Before entering search, Bill held senior leadership positions at global, well-regarded public firms and smaller, privately held, investor-backed companies. He was a Senior Partner at Ogilvy worldwide and served as Chief Strategy Officer for a PE-backed martech company, contributing to one of the industry’s most notable exits. The breadth and depth of Bill’s diverse background enable him to deeply understand both the structural and human dynamics of building winning leadership teams.
Bill holds a BA from Indiana University and an MPA from American University. He is also an active advocate for wildlife conservation, supporting the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and the World Wildlife Fund.
